The PARAMOUNT 440SS Advanced blades are made from a lightweight aerospace aluminum holder and a superior-quality 440 stainless steel runner. The aluminum holder makes them incredibly light weight. When combined with the modern lightweight boot, they can take up to 5lbs off each skater thus increasing jump height and length. The stainless steel runner is much stronger than the regular carbon steel of most blades and holds edges much longer between sharpening. This also makes the runner resistant to chips or nicks and resulting in less friction and a more consistent blade surface on which to train with longer blade life.
These Paramount Blades are a good choice for those who are doing double-double combos as well as triples, and for those skaters who need help spinning. The increased curvature of the rocker on the ball of the foot allows for less friction on the ice during spins.
